Oreo Truffles

Oreo Truffles

Ingredients (after measurement conversion): (Makes about 30)
•510 grams Oreo cookies
•227 grams cream cheese, softened
•1.1 kg chocolate candy coating
•sprinkles, nuts, white chocolate (optional)

1. Cover a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Crush cookies in a food processor until fine. Dice cream cheese and add to food processor. Process until no streaks of cream cheese are visible. Transfer to a bowl and chill 45 minutes.

2. Make small balls using a cookie dough scoop and place on baking sheet. Chill 15 minutes. Melt the chocolate (microwave or double boiler). Dip chilled candy balls into chocolate coating and return to the sheet. Chill until set, then store in the fridge in an airtight container.

It started with giddiness and ended with pain. I was so happy to have found a dessert that was simple yet delicious. However, by the time I finished, my neck was stiff as a rock. I blame the height of the kitchen counter.

That said, nothing like an awesome choc bomb to make the pain go away.
Could do with some nuts. By itself, it's kinda sweet.

Drop by!
This batch melts (and sweats!) easily. Making another new and improved batch sometime soon.

I've made these myself. My husband likens them to tiny bites of heaven. I made the executive decision to not make them very often in order to spare our waistlines.
