Seriously. Not again.

LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone by the name of jay_jay_okocha07 and j_neutron07 wants to add you to their list... dont accept it!!
Its a virus!!! Tell everyone on your list because if somebody on your list adds them, you will get it too.
It is a hard drive killer and please pass this on to everyone on your list!!
We need to find out !!!

Friendster system is getting crowded. We need you to forward this to 20 people. We know this seems like a large number, but we need to find out who is using their account. If you do not send this to at least 10 Friendster members,we will delete your account.

We want to find out which users are actually using their Friendster accounts. So if you are using your account, please pass this e-mail to every Friendster user that you can.
IF YOU DO NOT PASS this letter to anyone we will delete your account.Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oui... *Headache. Fed up. Fidgeting.*

Like seriously, you think people like it when you send them these kind of messages ar?

You think they'll say: "Wah!! Shit! Friendster gonna delete my account liao!! Aiyo, must send to 20 people quick..."

Allow me to dissect and analyze the above messages for the fun of it and perhaps curse in the process.

Message #1:

How is a virus supposed to infect your computer just by you adding a user as your friend in Friendster?

But I'm thinking, maybe things were said and rumours were spread, and now it's distorted.

I have people (I'd prefer bots actually.) trying to add me in MSN. It usually goes by a Chinese (from China) name and then followed by numbers @ E.g.
So obviously, the first time I got it, I thought: "Umm... ok. I'll add that person."
But soon after I found out it was one of those things that sends you a link and if you proceed to stupidly click the link, you'll download a virus and all that jazz.

So perhaps the message was originally intended to warn stupid people of the bots that go around adding people in MSN?

Ok, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

But what's up with the last sentence?

We need to find out!!!

You want to see if it's true ar... Sure, go ahead. Dumb-ass.

So obviously, lots of people can't seem to process the information properly before deciding whether to send it out or not.
How can people be so stupid... inconsiderate... hollow... shallow... and the list goes on.

Message #2:
I have just one thing to say.

If Friendster needed to update their database, they would've checked to see who logs in and who doesn't.
It would be very silly to track messages sent by idiots around the world to 20 people each. You do the math.

I've finished my one thing.

When I got that message, I was considering posting a bulletin criticizing the people who sent those messages either in forms of messages or bulletins.
But, what if YanQin got offended? Or PeiChuen... or someone else.

What to do...

I need to kick someone's ass right now.
But I'll forget about it cause I'm watching CSI right now.
I-forgot-that-guy's-name is gonna get shot/shoot himself in the eye with a friggin' nail gun!!

I used to have, then I got so fed up I click his email as SPAM. :D

Then it stopped. And I am lucky also because out of 150+ email address, not many do mass forwarding. :D

That's why i changed to gmail. Those forwarders have no business sending me hotmail stuff. =)

cheahwey said...

Bah, lucky you.
Purrhaps I WILL mark them as spam.

But they cant all be hotmail's-gonna-delete-you-account messages right? what about virus warnings and all that jazz.
